Flux is a persistent, event-sourced world state engine operated by Eckman Technologies.
By purchasing a namespace or using the public Flux instance at
flux-universe.com, you agree to these terms.
Access to the public instance is provided as-is, with no guarantees of availability, durability, or performance beyond what we choose to offer.
A namespace purchase grants you a permanent, non-transferable right to publish events under your chosen namespace prefix on the public Flux instance. You receive a bearer token that authorizes writes to that namespace.
Namespace ownership is tied to the email address used at purchase. One namespace per purchase.
Namespaces are lowercase alphanumeric with optional hyphens (e.g. my-project).
You may use Flux for any lawful purpose. You may not:
All data published to the public Flux instance is publicly readable. Entity state can be queried and subscribed to by anyone without authentication. Do not publish data you want to keep private.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties, but we make no guarantees about access control beyond the namespace write authorization model.
Violation of these terms — including abuse, spam, or attempts to disrupt the service — will result in immediate namespace revocation without notice or refund. Determination of abuse is at our sole discretion.
We reserve the right to rate limit, throttle, or terminate access to any namespace or IP address at any time for any reason.
The public Flux instance is provided without any uptime guarantee or service level agreement. We may take the service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or any other reason without notice. Do not build production-critical systems on the public instance without understanding this risk.
All namespace purchases are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason, including service downtime, namespace revocation due to abuse, or dissatisfaction with the service.
We make no guarantees about event or entity state retention periods. Data may be pruned, compacted, or lost in the event of hardware failure, migration, or operational necessity. Do not rely on the public instance as a primary data store.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
